ESS Technical Services Limited Harassment, Bullying, and Sexual Harassment Policy

Purpose:

ESS Technical Services Limited is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace, free from harassment, bullying, and sexual harassment. This policy outlines our zero-tolerance stance and ensures that all employees can work in an environment of dignity and respect.

Scope:

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and third parties associated with ESS Technical Services Limited.

Key Definitions:

  1. Harassment:
    Unwanted behaviour related to age, gender, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any protected characteristic that violates an individual's dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, or offensive environment.
  2. Bullying:
    Offensive, intimidating, malicious, or insulting behavior, or an abuse of power that undermines, humiliates, or injures the recipient.
  3. Sexual Harassment:
    Any unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favours, or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature that creates a hostile or intimidating environment. This includes inappropriate comments, gestures, or physical contact.

Key Principles:

  1. Zero Tolerance:
    ESS Technical Services Limited will not tolerate any form of harassment, bullying, or sexual harassment in the workplace. All complaints will be taken seriously, and confidentiality will be respected to the fullest extent possible.
  2. Reporting and Investigation:
    Employees are encouraged to report any instances of harassment or bullying, including sexual harassment, to HR or a manager. All reports will be investigated promptly, fairly, and confidentially. No employee will face retaliation for making a complaint in good faith.
  3. Support and Protection:
    Victims of harassment or bullying will be offered appropriate support, and the company will take immediate steps to prevent further misconduct. Where necessary, disciplinary action will be taken against the perpetrator, up to and including dismissal.
  4. Training and Awareness:
    ESS Technical Services Limited provides training to all employees on recognizing, preventing, and addressing harassment, bullying, and sexual harassment in the workplace.

Consequences of Breach:

Any employee found to have violated this policy will face disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Third parties found in breach of this policy may have their contracts terminated.

Responsibility:

Management is responsible for ensuring the policy is upheld and that all employees feel safe, respected, and heard. Regular reviews will be conducted to ensure effectiveness.
